    Commercial Manager - US

    We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong commercial mindset to drive our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) growth in the US, covering both commercial and marketing aspects. This role is pivotal in accelerating our market presence and delivering on Tekla's brand ambitions across retail and ecommerce channels.

    Reporting to the Commercial & Marketing Director and working closely with the Marketing and Ecommerce central teams in Copenhagen, the Commercial Manager will focus on expanding our brand presence and representation, creating a roadmap for future retail market entry, and ensuring the successful localization of Tekla’s digital presence to maximise Ecommerce impact.

    This New York based role will act as an ambassador for the Tekla brand, building strong local partnerships and supporting the brand's long-term strategic goals in the US market. The position requires travel through North America to engage with key partners.

    Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

    • − Brand & Marketing Activations: In partnership with HQ teams, build and execute a dynamic marketing activity pipeline aimed at driving sustained brand awareness and customer engagement. This includes a variety of initiatives to keep Tekla top-of-mind in the US market, ensuring constant brand presence and resonance.

    • − Retail Market Entry: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for retail market entry, evaluating potential locations, partners, and operational needs. Execute this road map once the business case has been approved.

    • − Ecommerce Localization: Coordinate localization activities, from content adjustments to user experience improvements, to optimise the impact of Tekla’s US Ecommerce channel. Map key local commercial moments, and adjust to road map to maximise sales impact accordingly.

    • − Press & Community Coordination: Work closely with HQ and PR agencies to manage US press and community engagement, ensuring consistent, impactful messaging that enhances Tekla's brand reputation and fosters a strong community presence.

    • − Wholesale & Trade Marketing: Source and execute trade marketing opportunities across our network of B2B partners, ensuring we grow brand awareness across the right audiences. If and when necessary, support the Sales Manager (based in HQ) in assessing the wholesale business in the US, and help source the right opportunities.

    We'd love to hear from you if you are/have:

    • – 5+ years of experience in a similar commercial role within the US market, with expertise in wholesale, Ecommerce, and retail strategy. Experience working with a European brand will be a plus, preferably within premium or luxury fashion, perfume & cosmetics, or lifestyle industries.

    • − Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience in analytics, reporting, and results-driven strategies.

    • − Strategic and collaborative mindset, capable of working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders across various levels.

    • − Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of building and maintaining industry relationships.

    • − Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

    • − Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50% of working hours) to establish and maintain partner relationships across the US, and strong collaboration with the HQ teams in Copenhagen.

    Head of Wholesale

    We seek a commercially minded Head of Wholesale to join us. This role will plan and execute the global sales and development of our wholesale business across all product categories in close collaboration with the Commercial & Marketing Director. Ultimately owning a strategy, ensuring all activities are brand-enhancing and powerful enough to reach our performance objectives. Together, they will develop the wholesale strategy to drive international growth by proactively managing existing and new businesses across our selected international markets. 

    The Head of Wholesale will be required to make long-lasting client connections and should be passionate about driving external engagement across the brand as an ambassador. Additionally, this role is responsible for sales initiatives across our wholesale, concession and third-party platforms, and they will need to possess an understanding of how to leverage partners as vehicles of marketing, customer acquisition and performance.

    This role will manage, lead and mentor a customer-centric Wholesale team, ensuring that they deliver commercial and operational excellence at all times. 

    The role is an ambassador of Tekla values both within the company and should display a high level of professionalism and camaraderie with fellow Tekla employees, clients, and external partners.

    Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

    • Plan and execute four annual sales windows to reach our sales targets

    • Monthly reporting on performance and forecast adjustments - reflecting on the past, adjusting for the future

    • Manage the sales budget across all wholesale partners, allocating funds to ensure the commercial success of product campaigns, while maximising brand visibility

    • Confidently analyse and translate key market trends, competitor analysis and product  development opportunities to drive the growth of our wholesale business

    • Identify and prospect new sales opportunities, in line with the company’s strategic priorities

    • Own and develop a global network of partners, maintained through recurrent visits in key markets

    • Source trade marketing opportunities within our key partner’s distribution to keep growing brand awareness and positioning, and coordinate internal resources for an elevated execution

    • Negotiate rates, fees, and campaigns based on business objectives

    • Monitor sales and sell-through across all wholesale partners, ensure all initiatives are in place for continued success

    • Continuously develop our selective distribution to balance volume and brand awareness.

    • Build strong relationships with key accounts across our network of concept stores, design stores, department stores and marketplaces

    • Manage, mentor, and guide the Wholesale team on day-to-day basis to deliver best practices with Tekla partners' queries, system processes and all other functions 

    • Manage and guide our sales agencies and external support persons to conduct business on behalf of Tekla in their respective markets

    • Any other ad hoc tasks, if and when required

    • Strong commercial acumen, analytical and reporting experience, result-driven

    • A collaborative mindset, with an ability to work cross-functionally, collaborate with, consult with and influence all levels of the organisation

    • People management experience and demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and inspire others

    • A solid ability to build and develop a network of partners and peers within the industry

    • Analytical skills with ability to translate data, trends and insights into actionable and measurable strategies

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 

    • An appreciation and understanding for the Tekla brand and product  

    • Ability and willingness to travel >50% of working hours
