Tekla Seongsu
Tekla opens its largest retail space to date in South Korea with a 6-week pop-up in Seongsu. Located in the heart of Seoul, the retail space is hosted at 29 Seongsu in a former industrial neighbourhood.
To celebrate the occasion, an exclusive collection of patchwork sleepwear, bathrobes and bedding crafted with beloved colourways is introduced, available exclusively in-store until sold out. A limited number of bathrobes and sleepwear will also be available online.
Tekla Seongsu embodies Tekla’s commitment to environments that inspire peace and comfort, drawing inspiration from Tekla Copenhagen. The space centres three podiums dedicated to the core collections of bathrobes and towels, sleepwear, and bedding, tempering the metals and concrete found throughout with Tekla’s gentle fabrications.
The interiors of Tekla Seongsu have been thoughtfully curated to reflect Tekla’s design principles, emphasising simplicity and elegance with the soft, muted tones of natural materials such as birch and ash wood incorporated in the industrial setting. The result is a space that feels both intimate and expansive.
Central to the store’s design is a sense of domesticity, explored through vintage furniture by design icons throughout the space. A dedicated changing area and hosting room on an upper level mimic the experience of ascending to a private room at home. Here, guests can find a moment of solitude away from the outside world, while discovering special collections housed there throughout the pop-up.
The store includes a cafe, featuring Copenhagen-based roaster Prolog coffee and cardamom buns, a Scandinavian specialty. Everything is designed to be enjoyed on the premise, ensuring a moment to pause.
