Winter in Iceland

For winter 2023, Tekla explores the pools of Iceland and the bathing cultures cultivated there.

Set against the country's dramatic landscapes and in the fresh Icelandic air, pools are a place to connect with nature and one another, with their communal element often drawing comparisons to Italian plazas or British pubs.



The pools are also an important part of daily routines, acting as a place for families to enact bedtime routines, for friends to meet and for lone bathers to find quiet.

Inspired by these routines and rituals, Tekla follows a morning spent at the hot springs in southern Iceland. Featuring towels and bathrobes cut from thick cotton in a heavyweight weave, crafted in calming colourways, that soothe between sudden moments of heat and cold.
